Mass of Thanksgiving for Canon John George McHale's 60 years of priesthood
A Mass of Thanksgiving for Canon John George McHale on the 60th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood, on Wednesday 24 June at 7.30pm in Ardagh Church. Refreshments were served afterwards in the community centre. Everyone was welcome. The special Mass was celebrated in his honour, followed by a reception in the community centre. Congratulations to Canon McHale on 60 years of service. We were saddened by the news of his passing on 12 August, only weeks after this celebration. We extend our sympathies to his family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
