Ardagh 25 Card Game

The Ardagh 25 Card Game meets every Sunday night at 9pm, upstairs in the community centre. Come for good cards, great chat and a good night out; new players are always very welcome. From 13 September to 29 November 2026 there is a 12-week accumulator: your games won are recorded each week, the top five after twelve weeks play off on Sunday 6 December, and the first to win two games takes the €100 prize. The group also runs fundraiser nights, promoted as the 25 Card Drive, including one in March that raised €7,220 for Sunflower Children's Hospice Mayo. Autumn 2025 posters said the proceeds went to Ardagh Social Services.

25 Card Game raises €7,220 for Sunflower Children's Hospice Mayo

A mighty figure: €7,220 raised for Sunflower Children's Hospice Mayo, including additional money donated over the two weeks after the night. Huge thanks to everyone who supported and helped in any way. A cheque for €7,000 was presented on the night, described as a true evening of togetherness. Thanks also to Nigel Reape Printing for supporting the fundraiser. The fundraiser, promoted as the 25 Card Drive, was a 25 Card Game night in Ardagh Community Centre on Sunday 15 March at 8pm. Tickets were €10, also payable at the door, with €800 payable in prizes. You did not have to be a card shark, or play on the night, to support it. Sunflower Children's Hospice Mayo will be the first dedicated children's hospice west of the Shannon.
