Thank you for the defibrillator demonstration

A sincere thank you to Andrew Slattery First Aid Supplies for delivering an excellent and informative defibrillator (AED) demonstration at Ardagh Community Centre on Thursday 16 July. Andrew's clear, practical guidance gave everyone who attended the confidence to understand how an AED works and the importance of acting quickly in a cardiac emergency. We are very grateful to him for sharing his time and expertise with our community. Thank you also to everyone who came along and took part. Together we are helping to make our community a safer place for everyone.

Defibrillator now installed and ready for use at the centre

Our new community defibrillator (AED) is now installed, fully operational, and available 24/7 at Ardagh Community Centre (Eircode F26 W521). A defibrillator can make the difference between life and death in a cardiac emergency, and we hope it gives reassurance to everyone in our community. There will be a free defibrillator demonstration on Thursday 16 July at 1:30pm at the centre. It is open to everyone, and you can learn how to use the AED with confidence. Even without training you should be able to use the defibrillator, as the machine and screen give guided instruction when it is being used. Please share this with your family, friends and neighbours. The more people who know how to use a defibrillator, the safer our community becomes.
